As You Like It: Interior Decorating

I really enjoy decorating! I love to develop a vision of a room and see it come to life. 

I have always been fascinated with decorating and fulfilled a lifelong dream when I started my own interior decorating business As You Like It: Interior Decorating in Belleville, Ontario, Canada.  I am a Certified Interior Decorator and Certified Colour Consultant (as in paint colours not your colours!) From Traditional to Contemporary to Modern or an Eclectic combination of styles, I appreciate and design in any style that suits your taste. Decorating should be fun, not a chore or an exercise in frustration. I love to help people enjoy the decorating process.

My services include:

• Complete Interior Decorating: Taking a room and transforming it to the room that you dream about.
• Update, Refresh, Restyle: Taking the room you have and giving it that stylish, finished look.
• Do-It-Yourself  Decoration Plans: An in-depth, in-home consultation followed up with a presentation of a detailed written decorating plan, which may include a colour scheme, furniture arrangement, suggestions for fabrics, draperies, furniture and any additional purchases and answers to any questions or problems that you may have. It is packaged in a convenient folder for you to take with you, and add to, as you proceed through your decorating project
• Renovation Plans: Kitchen or Bathroom renovation plans that can either expand your space, or maximize the use of your existing space. Also, redesign plans for any room or  continuous area in your home, using space to the fullest or creating open concept areas. Whole floor/home renovation plans that include multiple rooms are also available, at an increased fee.
• Decoration Consultation: A verbal consultation in which you can ‘Ask a Decorator’ all the questions that you have about your decorating project(s). It is informal, fun and informative! and is charged on an hourly basis, so you are in control of the cost!
• Colour Consultation: Cure the Paint Chip Blues with an in-home paint colour consultation to help you with the often daunting and frustrating job of choosing just the right paint colour(s) for your room or rooms.
• Art & Photography Arrangement: I specialize in displaying art work or photographs to their best advantage. I create attractive and harmonious picture groupings using your own pictures. Picture groupings are often the best way to display family pictures. Also, grouping small pictures successfully can “create” a large picture to accentuate a large empty stretch of wall and give the room a harmonious look.
• Home Decor Sewing: I can provide those finishing touches to your room with coordinated cushions, curtains, toppers, etc and sew together or otherwise alter ready-made drapery panels for a more professional look.
• I also  design: outdoor rooms, garden rooms, restaurants, offices and can stage your home for a more profitable sale.
